Energy & Breathwork
30 years after its discovery, Reiki has long become an integral part of our alternative Healing Modalities. Reiki is a "hands on" healing technique that uses the body of the practitioner, in particular the hands, for the universal life energy to flow through. Reiki or Prana as it is called in India, or Chi as in the Chinese Healing Arts, finds its way to those parts of the body that suffer from a lack of vital energy which if ignored, oftentimes results in low functioning of the vital organs and illness and "dis-ease".
During a Reiki session the recipient will be replenished with the universal vital force that sustains life. The recipient will feel nurtured, charged, energized and deeply rested. If any part of the body is in need of healing, healing will take place on its own accord. In case of illness repeated Reiki sessions are recommended in order to funnel enough energy into the body of the recipient to activate and sustain the healing process. Reiki also slows down the mental activities and thought processes which opens the door for creativity to flow in an unhindered way.
Do you ever stop and think about your breath? Breathing happens without your planning, in sleep state and in waking state. Without breath - no life. With breath - all of life is happening. The power of life is in our breath. The Yogis of all times have known that and used it to their advantage. Our breath is the doorway to mystic experiences and the key to unlock our deepest memories. Our breath has the power to take us to the place of wholeness and completeness inside of us. The place where healing and letting go of the past happens.
Sacred Breath is a unique breathing technique that can be learned in one single session. With the guidance of an experienced Breathing Therapist you use the technique to let go of old pain and trauma from the past or deal with issues that have thrown a shadow on your innocent experience of life. Sacred Breath is also a very enjoyable physical experience. It allows you to get in touch with your energy body. It generates ecstasy in body, mind and heart showing you that bliss lies inside you whenever you want it.
In Yoga, the subject of working with the breath, or Prana, is called Pranayama. Breath is the link between mind and body, the doorway to meditation and the means of working the body's energy system. We can live for days without food or water, but deprive it of breath and we die in minutes. In view of this, it is astonishing how little attention we pay in normal life to the importance of breathing correctly.
- Do you breathe correctly?
- Would you like to understand the link between the breath and emotions?
- Are you aware that correct breathing massages the internal organs and greatly assists with digestion?
The essential key to relaxation is breath. Working with the breath is probably the most immediate and powerful action you can make to relax, energize and harmonize the body and mind. After your session, you will not only understand the importance of breath, but you will walk away with a set of breathing tools and techniques that you can use at any time to give you more energy, reduce stress, and keep yourself balanced.
